Every six weeks on Saturday morning, I read English stories for the English-speaking kids in Bielefeld. I usually read story books like The Gruffalo which are suitable for younger kids but also have funny twists for the older ones to enjoy. Age range about 3 to 8.
Story time is of course completely free.
After the 30-minute session is over, anybody who wants to can join me, my husband and our two kids.
If the weather is ban, we will meet in the Literaturcafé next door for an informal get-together. (Drinks not included.) If your kids do not like listening to stories, or if they are outside the age range, feel free to stop by Literaturcafé at 11:00, and we’ll see you there.
If the weather is good, we’ll meet in a nearby park.
Story time at the Bielefeld library is aimed at children who speak English at home. Children who do not (yet) speak English are also welcome, but please keep in mind that this is not the intended audience.
Location: Bielefeld Central library (Stadtbibliothek Bielefeld), Neumarkt 1, Bielefeld
The library is a short walk from Bielefeld Hauptbahnhof. On Saturdays the library opens at 10 a.m.
